“IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR PERSONAL ASSISTANTS (25th August 2020)
Following the recent Government announcement that Covid 19 antibody testing will be made available for Adult Social Care, arrangements have now been made for Solihull front line adult social care staff to have access to testing. Please note there is no expectation that personal assistants access a test, participation is voluntary.
Appointments are only available until September 25th 2020. Further information including eligibility and booking arrangements is available on the documents available for download on this page. The consent form will need to be completed and taken with you to your appointment. For personal assistants wishing to book a test please follow the instructions in the attached information, bookings will not be made on behalf of workers.
Once a test has been completed, results will be shared via text with the personal assistant by the health provider completing the test. A telephone helpline operated by GP's will also be available and can be accessed upon receipt of test results.
It is important to note that regardless of test results staff are expected to continue adhering to Government social distancing, hand washing and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidance.”
